After college I traveled around Latin America for 9 months, and then returned to work in publishing for many years in the Monterey Bay Area, and later San Francisco Bay Area.

Here are some oldies from the college textbook publishers, Brooks/Cole Publishing and Wadsworth Pubiishing (part of Cengage Learning). I learned a lot there, especially considering I didn't learn any computer skills in college - we were still using rub-on letters and wax machines then... oh, date me! I also designed interiors for many of these books and spec'd them out element by element, though we didn't lay them out in-house back then.
